Everything You Need to Know About the Isolation Chamber and Transport Case on the Powdersafe Contaminated Mail Isolation System

Last month we talked about the importance of the Powdersafe system, but today we are going to give you more details about the isolation chamber and transport case involved in these systems. How do they work? How big are there? And are they the right choice for your business? We hope to thoroughly answer these questions but if you still have questions in mind, contact Square One Business Machines at (972) 370-3664 to get answers.

The Facts About the Isolation Chamber

One of the first questions people often ask about the isolation chamber is about capacity. It is 435mm long, 380mm deep, and 300mm high. The capacity is up to a typical A4 flat envelope or a small package. The whole system weighs just 8.8 pounds. The gloves that are used with this are Nitrile size ten. It includes a one-off plastic frame opener that protects the metal blade of the letter opener, along with a one-off ceramic cutter.

Details on the Transport Case

The transport case is 670mm long, 555 mm deep, and 526mm high. It weighs just over 61.5 pounds. It has a retractable handle for easy storage that is 400 mm when not extended. When it is fully extended, it is 900 mm. It is made of a very tough, safe material and you can count on it doing what it needs to do and much more.

Do Not Forget the Annual Maintenance

One of the most important things to remember about this particular product is that it requires annual maintenance. This is true even if it is just sitting in a corner and has not needed to be used. What’s more, you need an authorized dealer to do the maintenance to make sure that the unit maintains optimum performance.

Note that this is more than a suggestion. If you do not service this system on an annual basis, and with the help of an authorized dealer, then any claim you have related to equipment failure will be null and void. This is because the unit only works at top capacity when it is well maintained. Due to the important nature of the work that is done with this isolation chamber, this is more than reasonable.
